RIGHT-LEANING SENTIMENT
Harris Has No Answers
The Top Argument From The Right: Kamala Harris Keeps Reminding Voters She’s ‘Joe Biden 2.0’, Shawn Fleetwood, The Federalist: “CNN hosted a town hall with Kamala Harris Wednesday night, and it went about as poorly as you’d expect. When she wasn’t avoiding questions prospective voters asked her, the Democrat presidential nominee was delivering nonsensical answers when host Anderson Cooper confronted her over her radical left-wing positions. Needless to say, it was like watching a real-life, female version of Michael Scott from ‘The Office’ on stage. The most revealing moment of the night, however, came when Harris was asked how her presidency would differ from that of Joe Biden’s. Like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming car, the vice president had no real answer to give. … It’s been obvious since the launch of her candidacy that Harris is seeking to cast former President Donald Trump — who hasn’t been in office for four years — as the incumbent responsible for the crises unleashed by the Biden-Harris administration. Town hall viewers saw this strategy Wednesday night, as many of the vice president’s responses to questions reverted back to why she thinks Trump is a dictator who would destroy America as we know it. But despite having months to come up with a concrete explanation of how a President Kamala Harris would handle issues differently than Biden, the Democrat presidential nominee still doesn’t have an answer.”

LEFT-LEANING SENTIMENT
Darker Approach
The Top Argument From The Left: The joy is over. As election nears, Kamala Harris tone goes dark, Francesca Chambers and Michael Collins, USA Today: “Gone is the joy. In it's place, rising alarm. Vice President Kamala Harris has taken an increasingly fatalist approach to campaigning that centers on the threat she says former President Donald Trump would present to democracy if he returns to office. … Harris referred to Trump as a ‘fascist’ during the town hall, echoing comments made by his former chief of staff John Kelly in an interview this week, and hit him for reportedly praising aspects of Hitler's leadership, also according to Kelly. … Over the past week, Harris has hammered Trump at most campaign events for comments he's made in the final days of the race about wielding the power of the presidency to muzzle dissenters and punish his political opponents. That includes journalists, judges and non-partisan election officials, Harris argued at the CNN town hall. … If her approach has taken a darker turn, Harris says, it's because Trump's conduct has made it necessary. ‘He’s becoming increasingly unstable and unhinged, and it requires that response,’ she told reporters over the weekend. ‘I think the American people are seeing it, witnessing it in real time.’ To critics who say the joy is gone, she replied in the interview, ‘Oh, I'm having a great time.’”

Less Than Two Weeks to Go
With less than two weeks until Election Day, a recent CNBC national poll shows a tight race between Trump and Harris, with Trump leading by 2 percentage points at 48%, compared to Harris at 46%. This narrow margin remains within the poll’s margin of error of ±3.1%, reflecting a nearly unchanged race since the previous survey. In key battleground states like Arizona, Georgia, and Michigan, Trump also holds a slim 1-point lead, 48% to Harris' 47%, with results still well inside the margin of error.
Economic concerns dominate the election, with 63% of voters nationwide saying their family's income is lagging behind rising living costs, highlighting inflation as a key issue. Nearly 50% of voters have listed inflation as one of their top concerns, a notable increase from earlier CNBC polls. Trump's lead in economic issues contrasts with Harris' stronger position on character-related topics such as honesty and presidential fitness (NBC News).
